Dutcher Golf Course opened for play in 1890. The course was designed by John Dutcher. Dutcher Golf Course is the oldest municipality owned golf course in America. Additionally, "Golf Digest" acknowledges Dutcher to be the oldest nine hole course in the U.S.

Historical Historical Historical! George Washington wintered in the neighboring Mccain house. Sure it's not perfect but it's one of the oldest gems in the country boasting roots from the late 1800's! I love the the Dutch. PS. This ranking is totally bias. It was the course I grew up on.
